SimARG Grils Racing Cup
Last Saturday 15-01-2022, started a new championship in GT Sport. The SimARG Girls Racing Cup, at Dragon Trail – Gardens. A track I didn’t drive before, and it’s also a GT Sports track, not in real life. I started practicing a couple of days before the race, learning the track, and car.

It’s a spec series, which means all the drivers drive in the same car, the Lexus GT3. Luckily the car suits me, and the track a little bit. The first race was 15 laps, and I qualified 2nd, Sophie had the pole position.

She found a very good pace, and I couldn’t keep up with her the first couple of laps in the race. I had two ladies behind me around a second or further away, unfortunately, they hit each other, and one of them hit me, in the braking zone for the hairpin. It cost me loads of time, but luckily they did let me pass after the incident. I lost around 8 seconds, which didn’t make me very happy.

Then I drove it on the edge, to catch Sophie back up. Unfortunately, I didn’t brake fully and lost the car. I finished P6, which was a shame there was a lot more in it. The second race was 5 laps, starting from a reverse grid. I started at P4, I had a great start and I already passed two ladies! In the second lap, I took the lead, and didn’t give it away! This was my first win in a championship racing GT Sport!! Hopefully, many more to come!!

Team Racing Point Women’s Championship ‘22
On Monday 17-01-2022, was the first round of the Team Racing Point Women’s Championship, 1 hour at Silverstone. The whole day, I didn’t feel good. I couldn’t walk very well, couldn’t press my own pedals, and Sophie and I decided to drive in each other’s rig.

Her pedals are a lot lighter to press. It was the only chance that I could drive. I wanted to drive, there is no drop round, and if I don’t drive the championship is already lost. I really tried, unfortunately, I drove on the back, my feet didn’t stay on the pedals.

Almost crashed, because my feet were on the clutch, instead of the brake pedal. It was a complete disaster, and it made me realize, I need to drive with hand controls. I stopped after 45 min, couldn’t push the pedals anymore, and it was not doable.

Race Asylum; Real World 150
On Tuesday 18-01-2022, it was time for round eight, for the Race Asylum; Real World 150. With my little Volkswagen Beetle, at the Red Bull Ring. I couldn’t practice before the race, I was still not recovered, and didn’t feel good.

I wanted to drive, to get more experience in the game, and especially at the Red Bull Ring. I drove at a decent and consistent pace. Which made me very happy. The result was a P10. Normally I wouldn’t be happy with a P10, considering without practice, how I felt, a good consistent race was the goal, and I drove that.

Cube Controls
I have the Cube Controls Formula Pro USB Wheel. I spoke with them at the Simracing Expo last year. I contacted them a couple of weeks ago if it was possible to get hand controls on the wheel. Luckily it is!!

On Tuesday I sent the mail that I would like to send my wheel and get the hand controls on it, and today Wednesday 19-01-2022 it’s already sent to Cube Controls. I want to thank them for the amazing service, very well organized, and I’m looking forward to driving with their hand controls!

It’s going to be a huge challenge to get up to speed, but I’m sure it will come with loads of practice! I cleared my schedule for at least two weeks, on Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing, and rFactor2. I needed to cancel my races because I have no wheel now. Luckily, I still can drive in GT Sport, I can use Sophie’s wheel then!

Upcoming races:
19-01-2022: GGG Red Bull x Endurance @ Red Bull Ring
22-01-2022 : SimARG Girls Racing Cup Round 2 @ Lago Maggiore GP
23-01-2022 : Wheelspin Racing Porsche Cup @ Laguna Seca
