Welcome to my last weekly blog in 2021, blog number forty four!

IRS Christmas race

On Wednesday 22-12-2021, I drove my last race for this year in ACC. It was 1 hour at Misano. One of my favourite tracks in ACC! My qualifying wasn’t the best, but I started from P2.

I got the lead, after 15 minutes in the race. I was trying to keep it easy because there was no mandatory pitstop. I drove away around 5 seconds, from the number 2. Then the backmarkers came, who were a bit surprising, and unpredictable.

Unfortunately, I hit one, because he braked in the middle of turn 3, which is normally full throttle. After that, I was fighting with P2, and I finished with a lot of leg trouble at P2, 0.4seconds behind P1.

Open fun lobby

On Monday 27-12-2021, I drove in the Open fun lobby from NL-BE Sim Racing Club, 38 laps at Interlagos. I drove with the Porsche RSR, really liked the car and it was good at Interlagos! I didn’t have experience on the track in GT Sports.

Luckily I knew it from iRacing and F1 games. I qualified at P5, and my pace was ok. Unfortunately, I had lots of leg problems, and couldn’t hold the brake when I needed to. This cost me a lot of time, and some off tracks. Luckily I drove at P4 and still gained after the pitstop on P3.

In the end, I finished 0.2 behind P3. If I didn’t have the problems, P3 was definitely in it!

SSBB 3 Hours at Suzuka

On Tuesday 28-12-2021, I drove the SSBB 3 hours at Suzuka. I also didn’t have experience at Suzuka, in GT Sports. Because of a busy morning, I couldn’t practice enough, and I knew it was going to be a difficult and long race. I qualified P5, which wasn’t bad.

With the start I lost 5 positions, I didn’t know what was going wrong, I need to find that out for the next race on Thursday 30-12-2021! Luckily I could gain some positions. I had a good strategy, thanks to Sophie! It worked out well, and I could gain some spots at the end of the race.

My pace was getting better during the race, in my last stint I drove a 1:58.8, which makes me pretty happy! I could see that I was improving, and I need more hours in the game. I finished P5! What needed to be a P6, because Sophie Aeronwen was in the lead, but needed to retire the car, because of her health.

Happy New Year

It is almost time for 2022!

2021 was a year full of changes for me. A big change in my life, which turns out very well! It was a good decision, and I’m very happy! New opportunities are coming for 2022, working already on new projects!

When I can tell you all, I will announce it! I’m looking forward to 2022, and very excited about the things that are coming up! I wish you all the best for 2022, lots of happiness and good health! Happy New Year to all of you!
