Theamusante Community Rush Hour
On Friday 17-12-2021, was the 4th round of Theamusante Community Rush Hour, 1 hour at Barcelona. It’s multiclass racing, 1 GT3 and 1 GT4 car. I drove in the GT3 Bernadette (the Bentley), in the GT4 Porsche drove Maryn Edwards.
Sophie couldn’t drive, because she was sick. Luckily, Maryn saved us, and could drive last minute. I did an arrive and drive, didn’t had much pace, finished P7. Maryn stepped in, her practice, was the qualifying for the race. She drove well, and finished P7 in the Pro Class. Thanks Maryn, you saved us, and I enjoyed driving with you!
The Sim Grid Endurance Cup
On Saturday 18-12-2021, was the 3rd round from The Sim Grid Endurance Cup, 6 hours at Paul Ricard. I drove together with Alethea Boucq and Mike Williams. Mike was the fastest, and so he drove the qualifying. We started from P29, it was a very close qualifying.
After a good start, and stint we were at P23, in the next couple of stints, we drove around P21/20. I drove only one stint, because my legs were very bad, and it makes it very difficult to drive on a high level.
Luckily, my pace was decent and consistent, we could stay around P21. Unfortunately there was a spin the stint after, and that cost the tires, and a lot of race pace. Mike drove the last 1.5 stint, and drove very fast and consistent, we finished P23. Thanks Mike, for stepping in last minute!
On Sunday 19-12-2021, LC Community organized a 40 minutes race at Laguna Seca, on GT Sports. It was my 4th race in GT Sports. I did some practice on Wednesday before the race, and I knew my pace was good.
Unfortunately, I had no time to practice, till one hour for the race, because of other races in ACC, and other projects. I qualified in P3, and had a good start, after the first corner I passed on the outside, and drove at P2.
In the 3rd corner, I touched the grass and spun, another car hit me which gave me some damage, and I lost some positions. Luckily, I drove still some decent lap times, and I could overtake some of the other ladies.
I choose to change my strategy, I started on the soft tire, and choose to drive longer, than I planned. Then I could drive 10 laps on the super soft tire, it worked. After the pitstop I was back in P3, and I closed the gap to P2, and passed her in the second last lap.
I finished at P2, there was more in it, especially without my spin. I have now some more experience and on to the next race!
The Sim Grid More Female Racers
On Monday 20-12-2021, was the final round from The Sim Grid More Female Racers. I drove together with Chris Harteveld. After a decent qualifying at P4, had a good start and keeping the gap close with P3 and P2. We overtook P3 with the pit strategy, and Chris passes P2 on the track. We finished at P2. Which means, we finished P2 in the championship! Huge thanks to Giorgio Simonini, Dennis Schöniger and Chris Harteveld, who all drove with me in the MFR. I could learn from all of you, and I really enjoyed it!
The team result was amazing! P1 for Sara Dove, Mira Evergarden, and Andrea Capoccia in pro class!
In silver class;
P1 Sophie Aeronwen and Matt Muirhead.
P2 Esmeralda van der Naald and Stephane Greffet
P3 Alethea Boucq and Mark Lewis
It is an amazing result, and it makes me very proud!
