The Remus GT3 championship is upon us. The Finale at Macau is going to be a show stopper. Jack Keithley of Team Shmee150 gives us an insight.
Our resident pro esports racer here at simrace247 Jack Keithley heads into the last race of the Remus GT3 Championship.
Jack is racing for Team Shmee150 and leading the driver’s championship with a slender lead, but Team Malmedie is leading the overall championship.
The final round visits Macau on 14/12/21 and Jack is ready to race, we popped a few questions his way in the build up to the race.
So Jack how have preparations for the race gone?
“Very well thank you. I really cannot wait for this. I am not entirely sure if the Bentley is going to be the car to beat, but I know how strong I am at Macau with all my experience. I do expect myself to be near the head of the field.”
We know you are a fan of Macau, is the team ready to win?
“Absolutely, many hours of testing as a group is hopefully going to come to fruition. We have just had some rounds where lots of contact has happened, and we have been, more often than not, on the receiving end of it. I am sure we can get the job done in Macau as a team.”
How has Shmee been as a team leader?
“If you had asked me this at the start of the season, I would have doubted you, but to go into the final in the position I am in, it feels great.”
The team championship is very close, can Team Shmee take the title?
“I believe so. We just need to stay out of trouble and do our best first of all. It is easier said than done, but we just need to keep mistakes at a minimum and keep on our toes around this very difficult circuit.”
Who do you see as your biggest rivals?
“I see Christopher Hogfeldt, Marko Pejic, Florian Hasse, and Emre Cihan as my main rivals coming into this. All have had their own success so far in this championship.
They have been the most consistent all season, and they are all very, very fast drivers. It will be no cake walk against these guys. I just have to wait and see what happens in Macau!”
