Jack Keithley Pro Esports sim racer and driver for Williams Esports racing team is here at simrace247.com. Bringing us blogs and a great insight into his sim racing.
Being the editor at simrace247.com I (Darren B) have been a big fan of Williams Esports Pro Sim Racer Jack Keithley, his tenacious racing and never gives up attitude has been a stand out attribute.
His racing is metronomic, lap after lap executed with relentless precision and pace, if things do go wrong in a race, he just brushes it off and moves on.
Make no mistake about it, he is one of the best sim racers in the world!
It is with great pleasure to welcome Jack Keithley Williams Esports pro driver to the simrace247.com blog roster and be a featured resident for the future.
Here Jack will be using our platform to keep the sim racing community up to date on his pro sim racing adventures and more.
Welcome Jack
Hello, my name is Jack Keithley, and you may see me here as that guy who races for Williams Esports in some of the toughest online championships in the world of Simracing.
Truth be told, I am just a regular guy who lives a normal life who has an appetite for motorsports and a passion for sim racing, which so far has consumed over half of my life, and I love every second of it!
Some of my earliest memories are motorsport related. They include very vague memories of being at a British Touring Car meeting in 1996 with my dad at Snetterton in the blazing sunshine and, when there, a race car driver having a shower behind the pit garage in his shorts.
It was Volvo driver “Kevin Burt,” and he and my dad had a brief chat. Also, watching Formula 1 and NASCAR on TV when I was 4 or 5 years old. Ultimately, I am as big of a fan of motorsports now as I was back then, and simracing, for me, is a way of furthering my passion for what we see on TV.
I am very fortunate to have had a career in esports up to this point and have no plan to stop it. I will be 30 years old in October next year and am still racing for one of the best teams you can race for in the gaming world—WilliamsEsports.
When I look in the mirror, I still see that kid who got a Logitech G25 for Christmas in 2005 and could not wait to use it. Up to that point, I had been using a Logitech Momo wheel and playing the rFactor online beta and competing in the public server lobbies, where I had so much fun!
So many memories of the races and events from way back then, so in time, you may see pieces of that. I’m taking you guys back to a time when sim racing was in its very beginnings. 16 years later, I am still here and loving it.
I am extremely grateful to be part of the Simrace247.com team and a special mention to the editor, “Darren B”, for contacting me, not only to give me this wonderful platform to write, but also to give you guys and gals an insight into esports from the current product and years gone by.
Along with some of the names I have had the pleasure of racing against, the championships I have competed in, the various cars and teams I have driven for, the tracks I have raced on and the highs and lows of being a professional esports gamer.
We look forward to catching up with Jack in the coming weeks with how things are and his sim racing events….stay tuned.
