IRG WORLD invites you to the Brazilian suburbs of São Paulo, right on the picturesque Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace track in rFactor 2.
The facility is well known to die-hard F1 fans and liked by many drivers, it is located between two underground lakes, hence its more popular name – Interlagos.
Built in the 1930s, the Brazilian circuit is an F1 racing icon. During one of the modernizations, the then Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna was asked to create a new thread: quick turns 1 and 2, the so-called “Senna esses” and the different sections in the second sector are his legacy.
After the renovation of the surface in the 21st century, drivers fell in love with racing on this facility (in previous years, they took a lot of unevenness from driving fast).
The interesting characteristics of the Brazilian flourish are best summed up by F1’s technical guru Pat Symonds “At only 4.3 km in length, it is one of the shortest loops on the calendar, but it does not reduce the scale of the challenge in any way”.
“The track has very different characteristics: a winding middle section separates two sectors dominated by long straight lines. maximum speed, while in the middle of the curve, a tight and narrow sequence promotes higher downforce, so when choosing settings you have to try to compromise – especially in terms of the race, because the best place to overtake is braking at the end of a long starting straight. a car with a higher top speed in mind, not the perfect lap time”.
“One of the longest service lanes, it may suggest a significant loss of time on the exit, but in fact it is reduced by missing the first 3 corners when leaving. The settings for attacking or defending during the race force drivers to drive boldly, which in turn provides a high level of excitement. ”

“Junção” – a four-way left quick turn that opens the way to the final uphill climb, in order to get the best lap time, you need to shoot it well (similar to turn 4).
