Welcome to my thirty sixth weekly blog!!
Sunday 31-10-2021 was the second round of Pro League Racing; Team Championship, at Zolder. I don’t have my rig yet, in England. We needed to share the rig, instead of a digital driver swap, we did an in real-life driver swap. It was a lot of fun to do, but also complicated.
Sophie and I, don’t have the same length, and we needed to adjust her rig a little bit. Some pillows in the chair, and then I could reach the wheel and pedals. Sophie qualified in P14, it was a difficult race, because at Zolder it’s hard to pass someone.
She was stuck for a while, we decided to pit a little bit earlier, and repair the 9 seconds of damage. I did one good move, and that was it. My tire pressures were off compared to the practice we did, in the end, I had 23 psi.
I don’t have the same pace as when I drive in my own rig, which makes it even more difficult, I lose almost 2 or 3 seconds a lap. We ended up P12.
Theamusante Community Rush Hour
On 05-11-2021 starts a new series, called Rush Hour! It’s multi-class team racing, one driver is in the GT£, and the other is in the GT4. I drive this season together with Sophie Aeronwen.
Sophie is driving the GT4 Porsche, and I’m driving GT3 Bernadette (the Bentley). The first round is at Spa Francorchamps, it’s going to be an arrive and drive for me, but I drove at Spa a lot, the last couple of months.
RCI Endurance World Challenge
On Saturday 06-11-2021 is the third round of the RCI Endurance World Challenge, 6 hours at Misano. One of my favorite tracks, and I’m looking forward to it! I have no time to practice, but hopefully, I’m fine with Bernadette. I drive this season together with Sophie.
Normally we both are very quick at Misano, only I’m not sure if I drove there also in the rain. We are going for another good result, and we’ll give it all!!
The Sim Grid Endurance Cup
The second round of The Sim Grid Endurance Cup is 6 hours at Monza. This is also on Saturday 06-11-2021, it’s going to be a very busy day for me. I drive this season together with Alethea Boucq and Mark Lewis, in split 2. Luckily they will start the race, and I will join when the RCI race is finished.
Hopefully, we can go for a better result than the first race, after the huge crash in the second lap of the race, we had already 4 minutes and 50 seconds of damage. Fingers crossed, that it doesn’t happen again, and we can score some points!
The Sim Grid More Female Racers
On Monday 08-11-2021, is the third round of The Sim Grid More Female Racers Season 4, at Imola. This season I drive together with Giorgio Simonini! He is very fast, and I can learn a lot from him! After two solid races at P4, we are third in the championship now, I hope to go for a podium spot this time!
I will give it all, and I’m looking forward to the race!
