RaceRoom Whats In Store For the Future?

RaceRoom Whats In Store For the Future?

Is it just me thinking this or has Sector 3 studios gone a bit quiet lately. RaceRoom was in the news a lot with new Force Feedback overhauls, track and car releases.

RaceRoom until a few months ago were making big changes and headlines with its new Force Feedback complete overhaul and more, but now it’s all gone a bit quiet. Back in June we had seen Sector 3 come out with its new (not tweaked) Force Feedback implementation for RaceRoom.

It was something that got many people excited in the sim racing community, not only from a change perspective but also a new direction. Like I mentioned it was not a slight adjustment sector 3 had made to the FFB, but a complete rewrite.

When big changes like this happen, it shows the willingness and a brave move for a new direction. You just do not decide to scrap a FFB system and rewrite it. After all it is the fundamental control system for the game when using steering wheels.

But here we are, near the end of October and all we have seen from sector 3 is a new track and a car along with a few hotfix patches here and there (the last was seen in mid September).

Has RaceRoom met its end game? Is the usual odd track and car drop all we are going to get now, or will Sector 3 come out again with a big surprise up its sleeve? I am sure many people in the sim racing community would like to see some dramatic changes to RaceRoom whilst retaining what great things are already in place.
