Is playing Assetto Corsa Competizione in VR worth it? We know the Unreal engine is power hungry so how is it with a 1080TI and the Oculus Rift S.
Many people have asked me if playing Assetto Corsa Competizione in VR is worth it. My response to each person is “it depends on your expectations”. We know VR is super immersive, but then those who want great graphics complain about it.
Sim racing is what you want it to be, whilst not everyone can own a high end modern graphics card and produce crazy framerates at high resolutions, some are just happy to turn down the graphics to get high FPS and silky smooth gameplay.
After all, how many actually care about tree detail whilst whizzing past at 140 mph, if that person is you then sound off in the comments.
Moving on with the video, Nick Grabau plays Assetto Corsa Competizione with his 1080TI and the Oculus Rift S.
Nick goes on to mention “We’re back in Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) and this time having a look at the VR performance the game offers in 2021.
I have always heard negative things about Virtual Reality performance in ACC and wanted to give it a go myself to see whether it is as bad as I hear and whether it’s worth it?.
