Back from their summer break, IRG World returns with their outstanding Formula 2021 series in rFactor 2. If you want to see the fastest series in sim racing, you have come to the right place.
With the races aired live on MotogamesTV who has nearly a 240, 000 strong community, IRG World is that series that has all the boxes ticked. Fast cars, great media, and a well oiled machine that is the IRG community.

Race of Spa – IRG Advance Formula 2021
End of the summer holidays, we are back on the track!
The end of August is an indispensable sign that it is time to end the carefree life and slowly return to the so-called normality. Next Sunday, the fastest racing series in the world returns.
As well as our great drivers and representatives of the IRG-World sim racing community will visit one of the most charming and atmospheric places on the motorsport map of the world, i.e. the Belgian Spa, and it is not a holiday resort at all ;-).
Located in the picturesque Belgian part of the Ardennes, over 7 km long loop of the Spa-Francorchamps track, it is a real Mecca for motorsport enthusiasts.
It is here that races of prestigious series take place, such as: WEC, ELMS, Porsche Supercup, Blancpain Endurance, F3, F2 led by Formula 1.
The Spa-Francorchamps track has already made a name for itself in the history of world motorsport – it was here that already in 1924 long-distance endurance races were held, right after the famous Le Mans (it was the second track in history).
A year later, in 1925, the first international single-seat racing competition was held here. As many as 7 cars took part in this event and the winner was the Alfa Romeo driver, Antonio Ascari – father of the later two-time world champion Alberto Ascari.
Both drivers and fans love to come to Spa – in Formula 1 history we have had many dramatic starts and collisions here – especially during rain-drenched races, and this facility often has the sun shining in one part and raining in the other.
The current line of the track meanders in a green valley between the forested hills, which creates the characteristic atmosphere of this place. The most recognizable place in Spa is the famous combination of Eau Rouge and Raidillon curves, which exists with small adjustments from pre-WWII times.
A piece of history right? These sharp changes in altitude have witnessed many spectacular accidents, but we also remember bold overtaking maneuvers in these corners, including Mark Webber showing his artistry there in 2011.
Exactly 7 kilometers and 4 meters, the loop of the track consists of 19/20 turns, the first sector is a typical engine killer, in the second one, the pressure in the ultra-fast Puhon arc and the Campus section will be useful; in the third one, the appropriate balance of the brakes can save the skin of many drivers in the Bus Stop chicane.
Drivers complete more than 75% of the lap at full throttle. The tires wear relatively smoothly here (depending on the weather), and the brakes are not exposed to overheating. Activation of the DRS zones takes place on the start-finish straight as well as around the Raidillon bend and ends at Les Combes.
The strategies linked to the settings play a key role. Low wings give better times in the fast first and third sectors, but a little higher wing allows you to keep a better pace on longer runs in the windier middle section of the track.
Additionally, a 1 pit stop strategy can bring tangible benefits to those who are gentle with their tires. All this means that racing at Spa is always an unknown, the more so that the flavor of the competition is, as always, unpredictable weather, which often determines the results of the competition.
So beautifully located in the Belgian region of Haute Fagnes, the track will be the arena of the 11th round of our fastest sim racing series IRG Advance Formula 2021.
The players are certainly well rested after the summer break, and maybe even hungry for competition, more and more often visiting the league servers, which heralds us big emotions.
We would like to remind you that the weather conditions on this track change like in a kaleidoscope and even when the sun is shining at the start, rain may fall shortly (we recommend taking this into account when selecting race settings). From experience, let’s remember that a wet Spa can take a change everything.

Kris Kaczmarkiewicz turned out to be in a class of his own (as usually in wet conditions), who apparently likes his face in his fins 😉
In the general classification, Paweł Mrówka is strengthening his lead – 276 points. above Wojciech Klimek – 200 points, and Łukasz Ladmann in third place – 162 points,
The status quo is also maintained in the competition of the teams in the lead: Infinity Racing Team – 305 points. before DS Speed SimRacing Team – 279 points and Old Bones – 220 points

Spa is the first race to open the post-vacation part of the season, with 8 laps remaining until the end. Many competitors in previous years turned their fortunes in the general classification, starting with Spa.
We also encourage new participants to ride together, who, after passing the license and making a limit, can make their debut in the games of our modest (but very respectable) sim racing community.
The IRG World league administration encourages all players to train on the league servers (IRG_F2021 # 1, IRG_F2021 # 2) as well as participate in the Saturday test race to check the settings, strategies, and the possibility of obtaining a starting license (for new participants).

It promises to be another interesting spectacle, there are only a few days left for preparation and training. The weather in the Ardennes can be capricious like a release maid, so we can’t be sure of anything.
The on-duty IRG-World synoptic on duty is slowly starting to complain about the pains in the area … therefore it is even more worth getting acquainted with the changing conditions in the most charming racing resort in the world.
