Check out the journey of great and free Gran Turismo Mods for rFactor. With a great selection of cars and tracks coming this is one to keep an eye on.

In the sim racing community great mods are being created, just like the on going selection of free Gran Turismo mods being created for rFactor.

Ranging from a vast car collection along with tracks we have seen Yoryi Oster put in a lot of work to bring the Gran Turismo nostalgia to rFactor.

GTFactor is a mod pack made to bring the 2000’s era of Gran Turismo into your pc for free using rFactor as the base game.

Obviously, rFactor has a lot of content, but sometimes you have to download a lot of mods to have the cars you have, this is where GTFactor enters.

Due the discord code being invalid now, we cannot refer.

GTFactor offers you a wide variety of cars, from small hatchbacks to luxury sedans, from starter racing academy cars to high level racing cars, all of this without navigating throughout the internet searching for that specific car you want.

The main car list like any GT game contains a huge amount of Japanese made cars, but it’s fairly compensated by the same amount of European and American cars, also having the same, wide range of versions. From a fully stock 60’s Corvette C2 to the LeMans racing variant from the same model.

On top of that, almost all vehicles had their physics reworked for more realism, some of them had their entire sounds changed or overhauled for more fidelity and almost all cars received a shader pack that makes them look a little less aged despite some of these cars being made even 15 years ago.

So, in conclusion, GTFactor not only is a mod pack that “contains a bunch of cars”, it contains a bunch of cars that were revised and enhanced in order to make them as most realistic as the physics engine allows it.

Obviously, the big part of this work has been done by multiple people from multiple modding teams, all the content belongs to them, all the work i personally did was build a mod pack that contains these cars but at the same time, enhance them and make them light so it doesn’t take a lot of space in your storage drive (almost a 100 gigabytes worth of content that was used to build this version that will weight about 30gb only).

About 300 cars will make it into the mod pack along with 30 circuits from all around the world including fictional tracks and also the original tracks made for Gran Turismo like High Speed Ring or Grand Valley.

All of this is expected to be done in January of 2022 so there is a little bit of time until the full version gets released, but in the mean time, you can test a prologue version available in our discord server where you can test a handful of cars that will be in the final version.
