Welcome to my twenty second weekly blog !!
The Sim Grid Sprint Cup
Round two of The Sim Grid Sprint Cup was at Kyalami in the wet.
I didn’t have a good qualifying we started at P27 and I hoped to avoid the trouble in the first lap.
Unfortunately, it didn’t go that way, I couldn’t avoid a car sideways and I drove with a lot of damage till the mandatory pitstop. Alethea Boucq drove a good stint and we ended up P23.
Theamusante Wavy World Tour
Round three of Theamusante Wavy World Tour was 90 minutes at Kyalami. I drove together with Sophie Aeronwen and Sarah Johnson. I qualified at P5, it was a tough race and we had some trouble in the second stint. We ended up P6, which gives us P5 for now in the championship.
The Sim Grid Endurance Cup
The final race of The Sim Grid Endurance Cup was 3 hours at Misano! One of my favorite tracks and I know I’m fast there.
I drove together with Sarah Johnson and Alethea Boucq. For the first time, I drove a pole position in the endurance cup!! I was really happy with that and hoped we could go for the win or podium. Bernadette felt really good and I felt we had the car to win.
Unfortunately, in the first stint we had some incidents and we drove around P20, the second stint was a very good drive from Thea back to P14 and the last stint I drove back to P5!! It was our best result in the Endurance Cup. I have to be honest, I was disappointed after, there was a better result in it. We ended the championship at P17.
24 Hour at Spa
I drove together with Maikel van den Berg, Patrick van den Berg, Sophie Aeronwen and Esmeralda van der Naald, the 24 hours at Spa Francorchamps. I really enjoyed racing with my husband, brother in law and friends. It was a tough start after some good stints in the evening and night bring us in the top5 and even P3 for a while.
Unfortunately in the afternoon, we had some crashes and we ended up P11.
It was a challenge first racing in Assetto Corsa Competizione the Sim Grid Endurance Cup and then going to iRacing to drive the 24 hours at Spa Francorchamps. The people who know me, I like a good challenge and this was defiantly a challenge!
Pro League Racing World Tour
The third round of the Pro League Racing; World Tour Season 6 was 1 hour at Suzuka. I didn’t do any practice because I needed to recover a bit from the weekend and enjoying the Olympic Games too much. I qualified at P5 and had a good start. I didn’t have any pace and I was pushing to hold P4.
We had a mandatory pitstop with a tire change, I did that after 35 minutes. Luckily I hold P4 during the pitstop and I could defend again. It was a very good and clean battle and luckily I finished at P4. Got a better result, then my pace deserved but I just give it all!! I’m now 4th in the pro class standings and 5 points behind the number 3. Next week it is Misano, I hope to gain some more points and to go for the win!
