Fanatec and sim racing giant Gran Turismo are partnering for the future. Providing new technology to reduce the distinction of sim racing and reality.
2021 has been quite a year for Fanatec, moving forward they are working with Playstation giants Gran Turismo. The goal is to work on new technology which will reduce the distinction between sim racing and real world motorsport.
This means that the development of new peripherals, with advanced force feedback technologies, shall be coming in the near future. Moving into a new era will more than likely see some great exclusive Gran Turismo peripherals for Playstation owners to enjoy and adore.
Gran Turismo has a massive fanbase and partnering with Fanatec I am sure will help galvanize both brands with harmony and great technology.
The beginning of a new era: Fanatec and @thegranturismo. We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with PlayStation Studios, Polyphony Digital.

Thomas Jackermeier, CEO of Endor AG
“For many years, Kazunori Yamauchi has pushed the limits on the software side and played a massive role in making sim racing popular. Now we have joined forces with the shared goal to continue to merge virtual and real-world racing together. We have several exciting projects in the pipeline and I can’t wait to see how they perform in Gran Turismo.”
Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo Series Producer
“Fanatec has been at the leading edge of simulation hardware technology for many years. While the quality and performance of their products is impressive, it’s their desire to innovate in motorsports that resonates with us the most. Polyphony Digital and Fanatec share this same spirit and long-term ambition, and I’m really excited about what we can create together.”
