The IRG world Formula cars take to the streets of Montreal for the IRG Formula 2021 Canadian GP in rFactor 2. Tune in and support 20/06/21.
IRG World continues with its top class racing in the Formula 2021 race car. This weekend the series visits Canada and the fantastic Gilles Villeneuve circuit. IRG World likes to build up the race weekend with some information about the circuit and the history of the location.
The seventh round of the sim racing season of IRG Advance Formula 2021 will be played on the street track, known to all F1 fans as Gilles Villeneuve.
The Canadian track in Montreal is a great place to race, you need a well-balanced car, but once you find this “golden setup”, driving is a lot of fun. After the winding first sector, the car must quickly overcome turns 9-10, here you have to watch out for the graters in the chicane and the wall on the outside.
In the Pits Hairpin section, the grip of the rear axle is useful, and then a long straight in the third sector, ending with heavy braking, and the famous “Wall of Champions”. Canada is the seventh race of the season, for many, the number 7 is lucky and with hopes for a great race. The IRG Advance Formula 2021 drivers start training, for us, most fans of our first and second Polish driver in “real” F1, this street track is a symbol.
It was on this track that Robert Kubica had an accident when his car tumbled many times, the heart stopped. Fortunately, it turned out that Kubica did not suffer major injuries. It was on this track that a year later Robert won the Canadian GP, it was his only victory so far. With such a positive attitude, the IRG drivers are hoping to take part in the race as well.
After the marathon in Azerbaijan, we have another change of the leader in the general classification of our sim racing games, this time Paweł Mrówka took the lead with his achievements, 143 points, ahead of the audience’s favorite Wojciech Klimek with 129 points, and a hit that breaks through to the front of the group, Łukasz Ladmann with 114 points.
As a team, the first two places remain unchanged: Infinity Racing Team – 213 points, ahead of Rapid Racing – 157 points, but DS Speed SimRacing Team jumps to the third-place with 146 points. The IRG World league administration encourages all players to train on the league servers (IRG_F2021 # 1, IRG_F2021 # 2) as well as participate in the Saturday test race to check the settings, strategies and the possibility of obtaining a starting license (for new participants).
