Weekly blog #15 10-06-2021

Welcome to my fifteenth weekly blog!!

The Sim Grid More Female Racers
The MFR round 4 at Kyalami, wasn’t a success for GTWR R8G Female Racing #5.
I drove together with Eris, unfortunately, her wheel got disconnected in the second lap of the race.
It was in the first corner and she couldn’t do anything.
Ended up into the wall with a lot of damage, we used “return to the garage” to get the broken car back in the pitlane and she could reconnect her wheel.
Luckily her wheel connected and worked during the rest of the race! Unfortunately, we were already 3 laps down and ended up last. It’s a one hour race and if something like this happens, it’s very difficult to get a good result.
The next race is at Brands Hatch in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

ERU Prestige Sim Cup
Yesterday 08-06-2021 was the final round from the ERU Prestige Sim Cup. The last race was at Zandvoort on iRacing.
I didn’t have much time to practice and I really like iRacing but it’s difficult because I need to drive a lot in Assetto Corsa Competizione. It was my home race and really looking forward to it!
In the first race, I had a crash before the first turn, I tried to avoid the crash in front of me unfortunately I couldn’t.
I ended up P18 and luckily there was another race from 30 minutes.
The second race was much better, I didn’t have the fastest pace, but I was consistent and clean.
I ended up P9 and that was my best result in this series!
I really enjoyed the Audi TCR, it isn’t difficult to drive but it was difficult to be fast.
I like it and hope to spend some more time on iRacing in the next few months!

The Sim Grid Endurance Cup Round 3
The Endurance cup round 3 is at Laguna Seca, 12-06-2021.
I’m driving with Alethea Boucq and Sarah Johnson, for GTWR R8G Female Racing.
I’m really looking forward to driving with the ladies and also at Laguna Seca.
I drove there a lot for a qualifying event, I’m curious how the Bentley will be.. I tell you all about it in the next blog.
