iRacing Is A Money Pit

iRacing is the front runner in the competitive sim racing genre. However, some look at its monetization as an endless money pit.

iRacing without a doubt is the primary competitive sim racing title. We see great real world motorsport racers such as Max Verstappen, Tony Kanaan and many more to mention. However, some see it as a title full of cheats, poor physics and a money pit with an endless continuous spending nature being a subscription and then purchasing content thereafter.

Ok, iracing is the sim that keeps on giving more content (that is great) but so do other sims. The big difference with most other sim racing titles is not having subscriptions. You buy the game and that is that, ok there would be DLC packages for optional purchase but the base game is already bought and paid for.

Here in this video, Ermin Hamidovic talks about how “iRacing is a sim racing game with very aggressive pricing methods.

What are your thoughts on iRacing? Would you prefer it without the subscription and be happy to pay a one off base purchase? Do you feel your money is well spent?
