Women in Sim Racing Blog #3 Yvonne Van Den Berg

Women in Sim Racing Yvonne Van Den Berg weekly blog #3 17-03-2021

Following on with her weekly blogs Yvonne gives us a great insight into her ventures and sim racing.

Welcome everyone to my third weekly blog!

In BLOG #2 I told you, that Alethea and I were driving the Sprint Cup at Snetterton. GTWR Female Racing Team.
We ended at place 29, it was a difficult race. Starting at dry, the track going to damp and greasy after that a wet track.
We had everything in 90 min, I drove to long on the dry tires and a mistake in the pit put us in that position.
We learned from it and looking forward to the next race at Misano Thursday, March 25.

I have some good memories at Misano, the first round of the More Female Racers started there. I started with season 2 and drove that as the first race in a competition at Assetto Corsa Competizione.
Also, I drove the qualifying event for the Sim Grid Endurance Cup at Misano, with 1:33.723 I think it’s a good start for the next Sprint Cup!
I don’t know how the Ferrari is at Misano, from tomorrow I’m going to start practice for the race.

Number 14

The reason I like to drive with the number 14.
It is a special number for me.
With the Johan Cruyff Foundation, we teach children archery and a lot of other sports. Johan Cruyff one of Dutch best football players, played with number 14.
The impact that he had on children with a handicap is huge and there are a lot of people who still do that.

Upcoming races:

⦁ 17-03-2021; Diamond Drive Cup Round 3 at Imola

The diamond drive cup is driving individual and point for the team.
I’m driving both and together with Sarah Johnson, we are Team PEEP, Pizza Extra Extra Pineapple. We are driving in the Boatley (Bentley).
We didn’t have time to practice, the reason why we didn’t I hope to announce that next week!
