Welcome to my second weekly blog, I have to be honest, I’m still excited about the blog!! I promised to tell you more about myself.
Life is all about challenges..The handicap has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I like to tell people about the possibilities they have and give them advice
In the future, I would love to create a foundation to help children and people with a handicap in sports and show them that they are not less than another person!
By sharing my passions I’ve got for racing, karting, sim racing, archery and wheelchair hockey, I hope I can inspire people and that I can help them with their own challenges.
I absolutely love sports, I’m really fanatical and I want to win!
It’s not all about winning but I really like this feeling when you give it all and get to stand on the podium… That’s just amazing!
I started with sim racing in 2015, then due to competitions and work, I didn’t have the time for it. Since the first lockdown in The Netherlands, I started sim racing again together with my husband and old teammates from karting.
When I started with sim racing, on The Sim Grid competitions I got a great opportunity to drive with the GTWR Female Racing Team.
We have done a lot of driving together and we will continue that!
It’s a lot of fun driving with the girls!
The great thing about sim racing is you meet a lot of new people and they are really lovely.
The level is really high so I need to practice a lot.
It’s quite a challenge for me because I can’t feel my legs and watching on my above screen what I’m doing with my pedals. I’m using a hud on my second screen and it turns out, that it works!
Upcoming races:
⦁ 10-03-2021; Diamond Drive Cup Round 2 at Kyalami
⦁ 11-03-2021; The Sim Grid Sprint Cup S3 Round 1 at Snetterton
The diamond drive cup is driving individual and point for the team.
I’m driving both and together with Sarah Johnson, we are Team PEEP, Pizza Extra Extra Pineapple. We are driving in the Boatley (Bentley).
The Sim Grid Sprint Cup Season 3 is starting on 11-03-2021.
I drive together with Theamusante for the GTWR Female Racing with the Ferrari.
We practised a lot together and I think we are ready for the race tomorrow!!
I’m really looking forward to the upcoming races!
