My ongoing quest to find good online racing with like-minded sim racing drivers has rewarded me with the discovery of RaceDepartment’s incredible Club Racing network for premium members which you can be for a mere $15 per year!
After a great experience in the popular RD Assetto Corsa Club my romance with the concept of no-stress, enjoyable and sporting club racing that RD offer, I gravitated to rFactor 2 my preferred sim and found an equally active rFactor 2 Club, with RD servers to practice on 247 running anything from single-seaters, to historic as well as GT3 on the rF2 platform.
Two or three races a week to choose from every week.
After a great retro experience racing BMW M1s at Watkins, I decided to tackle GT3s at Adria, a track I last drove very briefly in GTR 2 FIA GT briefly. I also chose a car I had never driven in the McLaren 720S.
Very quickly I enjoyed the car and track combo. And after about 3-4 hours of practice tackled my first race with them.

For the last Friday-event before Christmas RaceDepartment rFactor 2 Club went slightly to the unique Adria International Raceway has been used once in the rF2 club since 2012. It’s a fun little Italian track that often gives close racing, and it’s about time it get’s some love!
Eligibility: You must be a PREMIUM member. You must also use your REAL NAME on all RD servers and TeamSpeak, and include this in your forum profile. It is the only way of identifying who you are during an event.
This is the video of my first race with this Club, and all I can say is “Wow!” what an end!
