Yesterday, YouTuber Boosted Media posted a video in which he almost broke a thumb on his Simucube racing wheel. As it happens, simracing gear isn’t a toy and there are some risks involved when you go racing – even in the comfort of your own home.
“Yesterday I posted a video showing how I almost broke my thumb with my Simucube 2 Ultimate Wheel base. Quite a few viewers were pretty concerned about the potential risks so I thought it would be good to cover what I did wrong, and what I could have done differently to avoid the injury, as well as some general safety tips to keep sim racing as safe as possible.”
Don’t take this as a reason not go to racing, but as advice on how to keep racing, and keep racing safely!
