We at SimRace247 are pleased to announce the launch of our first league racing series on Assetto Corsa.
The SimRace 247 F4 Championship will begin on Friday 28th August with the first race at Brands Hatch GP. The series will feature short format, action-packed racing following the style synonymous with real-world Formula 4 racing.
With racing on Monday and Friday nights from the 28th August through to Monday September 14th, the SimRace247 F4 Championship will be a six event series with a drivers’ best five events contributing to their championship charge.
The calendar for the series is the following:
Round 1: Brands Hatch GP – Friday 28th August
Round 2: Red Bull Ring – Monday 31st August
Round 3: Monza – Friday 4th September
Round 4: Silverstone GP – Monday 7th September
Round 5: Vallelunga Classic – Friday 11th September
Round 6: Nurburgring GP – Monday 14th September
Each event features a 30-minute practice starting at 19:00 BST (UTC +01:00) followed by a 15-minute qualifying and 20-minute race.
The points system is the same as that used by the FIA in F1 and it’s junior categories, except no points for fastest lap.
The Tatuus FA01 and all of the tracks the series will use are all official Kunos content. However, some DLC packs will be required to run the likes of Brands Hatch and the Red Bull Ring. More details can be found here.
The series will be hosted through the simracing.gp platform. Simracing.gp is a new system that makes community organised racing a whole lot easier for participants and hosts. The service is currently in closed beta but we can invite users who are interested in taking part in the series.
If you want to get involved, send get in touch through our contact page and please include your email address so we can invite you to simracing.gp.
See you on the racetrack!
