Official KTM GT4 comes to Assetto Corsa

KTM has brought an officially licensed X-Bow GT4 mod to Assetto Corsa.

The mod is developed using data from the factory racing team and is free to download to all users here.

With Kunos having now moved their focus to Assetto Corsa Competizione, new mods continue to stream through proving the sim really is a labour of love.

The majority of mods available on Assetto are user made. Users making replicas of real-world beasts or fantasy creations, what could have been.

It’s rare that a mod gets the backing of a factory racing team, so the quality should be what you’d expect from an official DLC.

“KTM and Assetto Corsa share a long history of success in virtual racing. Following the launch of the KTM X-BOW R, and numerous races as part of the virtual X-BOW Battle Online Championship, it was decided to try something never before attempted for the KTM X-BOW GT4 model.

KTM has become the first vehicle manufacturer ever to develop and produce its official virtual model, and make it available to the community, free of charge. The KTM X-BOW GT4 is renowned in the world of racing as a multiple title winner and the reigning model of the ADAC GT4 Germany.

The latest development is based on real data and has been made possible through close cooperation with the Italian software developer, Kunos Simulazioni, who specializes in driving simulation. Using the latest technology, they produce professional training and racing software for driving models that are the most realistic in the virtual world of motor racing.
