Along with a huge update to the new Automobilista 2 sim, Reiza Studios have confirmed that the Hockenheim will be available as DLC by the end of July.
The update, which is expected to include a large amount of bug fixes and general improvements will also introduce historic and modern versions of the Hockenheimring.
Reiza are also extending their release promo offer meaning all current owners of AMS2 will be receiving the new content for free.
The classic Hockenheimring will not be the last old school track coming to AMS2. A ‘Historical Track Pack’ is in the works and will feature ‘historical variants of tracks featuring in the game’. We also know that we can expect a retro version of Spa-Francorchamps in the (hopefully) not too distant future as well as a throwback version of Silverstone too.
With a great amount of old-school machinery already featuring in the games’ lineup, Reiza seems to be leading the field when it comes to studio quality, old-school content on the current generation of sims.
Reiza hasn’t yet given us an exact date for the launch of the new content. However, they have hinted at a release as soon as July 24th. No matter when it drops, you can’t really complain about free content…
