Virtual Le Mans 24 Hours: Race Day!

In the build-up we have called it the “most important race in sim racing history” and today at (15h00 CEST), the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual will roar into action as 50 teams and 200 drivers take to the rFactor 2 platform to battle it out in the biggest esports endurance race ever assembled!

Jernej Simoncic who was competing on his simulator at his home in Ljubljana, Slovenia, made a name for himself with a 3:23.380s lap stunned a star-studded field of some 1000 drivers in 50 teams, thus putting ByKolles Burst Esports in pole position in the 30-car class, while Porsche Esports Team – thanks to Joshua Rogers – will lead the 20 GTE cars as they blast into Turn 1 of the famous Circuit de la Sarthe.

Notably, the top 15 LMP lap times in qualifying were within one second, suggesting a titanic battle for top honours in this historic virtual event.
