Formula 1 have released a hot lap of Baku City Circuit venue of this weekend’s Virtual Azerbaijan Grand Prix, on the F1 Game, ahead of race day when a couple more F1 drivers taking the challenge alongside the usual suspects and a host of celebs to claim top prize.
This is the official preview:
Baku City Circuit first landed on the F1 calendar in 2016, and since then, it’s become synonymous with tight races and lots of racing action. Starting with a tight left turn, THAT corner at the castle, and one of the longest straights on the F1 calendar (but now not the longest – hi, Hanoi Street Circuit), Baku City Circuit is definitely a memorable circuit.
This is ahead of this weekend’s Virtual Grand Prix, where F1 drivers Sergio Perez and Pierre Gasly will make their Virtual Grand Prix debuts on F1 2019. Virtual Grand Prix veterans Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon, Nicholas Latifi, Antonio Giovinazzi, and – fresh from his back-to-back victories at Monaco and Spain – George Russell, make their return this Sunday.
That’s not all! Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte will be taking to Baku’s twisting streets, as will AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, rally biker Matthias Walkner, and Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois – his fourth Virtual Grand Prix appearance.
You’ll not want to miss it. The racing action gets underway on Sunday 7 June from 5pm BST, with the F1 Esports Pro Exhibition race, before the Virtual Grand Prix starts at 6pm BST.
Watch it live on the official Formula 1 YouTube channel, Twitch, the Formula1game Facebook page, alongside international broadcast partners.
