When racing drivers became simmers, and good ones (because not all are) it was a godsend for sim racing, but the ugly side of professional race drivers (spoilt brats generally) has put their arrival on the virtual racing scene under the spotlight.
When it suits drivers simming is a training tool, essential in lockdown for keeping up morale, it compliments the sport etc. Generally those saying the good stuff are those that stay out of trouble and/or are doing well in the crossover to the world of very fast pixels.
But then there are those, who mess up by cursing online, others trying to “take out” opponents and then incredibly, a driver bust cheating red-handed. This sad posse of course label sim racing as just a game, and that’s just not right.
