Race Department and SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship have set the stage for one of the most anticipated virtual racing series with the first of five rounds from the 2020 SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship at virtual Silverstone.
This is what SRO reported on their website:
This weekend sees the opening round of the SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship. With the racing sure to be hot, prizes to be won and a big name presentation team, check out how to catch all the action as it happens.
The stars of the real world SRO GT World Challenge Europe series have engaged with sim racing in a big way during the opening two rounds of the PRO Series so far this year. With GT World Challenge regulars mixing it with stars of Formula 1 past and present, PRO racing has already proven to be a very entertaining show of sim racing skill and racecraft.
The SILVER category, reserved for esport professionals, has also enjoyed a very competitive opening two rounds of the season thus far, with fast laps and close racing characterising the initial battles within the new category.
This weekend, Saturday 16th May, the spotlight is very firmly placed on our esport stars from within the sim racing community. The first of five rounds from the 2020 SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship is set to take place at the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, where 40 of the top AM sim racing drivers will be looking to battle it out for championship points and race victory honours: broadcast live from 19:00 UTC.
The series promises to be one of the hottest competitions of the year so far. With our drivers having already shown incredible speed and consistency during a tense qualification process, 40 drivers will be hitting the virtual tarmac with the intention of laying down an early marker to their rivals, and taking one step closer to an awesome opportunity to win a test drive in the fabulous Lamborghini Super Trofeo car of FFF Racing!
